InvoiceNow is Singapore's national e-invoicing infrastructure, built on the global Peppol network. IRAS has progressively mandated Peppol transmission for GST-registered businesses, and the mandate is expanding. Each invoice must be delivered to the recipient's Peppol access point in UBL 2.1 format, with AS4 delivery confirmation providing the IRAS-accepted proof of transmission.
The existing accounting system cannot connect to the Peppol network, so every B2G invoice requires a time-consuming manual portal upload and re-keying into IRAS — defeating the purpose of InvoiceNow.
