Healthcare Clinics
Independent clinics — primary care, dental, dermatology, mental health — sit between two stacks they didn't choose: a clinical EHR (Athena, Kareo, SimplePractice) and a separate billing/finance stack. The handoff is full of double entry and patient-statement printouts. 4b2b doesn't replace your EHR. It sits on the operations and billing side, with HIPAA-aware notification patterns (encryption in transit, minimum-necessary content, audit logging) for the front-of-house flow that doesn't touch clinical records.
Where the pain shows up
Pain point
Patient no-shows can run 15-25% in some specialties. SMS reminders help, but generic SMS tools weren't built with PHI minimization in mind.
How 4b2b helps
Appointment reminders that send only the minimum necessary (date, time, location, your clinic name) and never the diagnosis, provider name when not needed, or any clinical context. TLS in transit + audit logs of every send.
Pain point
Patient statements get mailed, then mailed again, then sent to a collection agency. Most clinics never offer a same-day Stripe-pay link.
How 4b2b helps
Each visit produces a statement with a pay-online link. Auto-pay-on-file consent stores a card (via Stripe), so copays charge silently after visit.
Pain point
Front-desk staff toggles between the EHR, the credit-card terminal, the appointment book and Outlook all day.
How 4b2b helps
A single screen for the day: appointments synced from the EHR, copays charged via Stripe Terminal, statements emailed, reminders queued for tomorrow.
Pain point
Multi-provider practices need provider-level revenue and visit counts for compensation. Most clinics build this in Excel.
How 4b2b helps
Per-provider visit counts, revenue, write-offs and collection rates — refreshed nightly and exportable.

Questions we hear most
Are you HIPAA-compliant? Do you sign a BAA?
We do not market a HIPAA-certified product and we do not offer a BAA at this time. What we offer are HIPAA-aware notification patterns: minimum-necessary content in reminders, TLS in transit, no PHI in subject lines, and audit logging of every send. For PHI itself, you should keep your EHR and any BAA-covered vendor (e.g. Twilio with a signed BAA) in that loop.
Do you integrate with my EHR?
We integrate one-way (appointments out) with most modern EHRs that expose FHIR or a public API — Athena, eClinicalWorks, SimplePractice, Kareo. We do not write back into clinical records.
Can you do payment plans for high-deductible patients?
Yes. Payment plans are scheduled, auto-charged on the saved card, and the patient gets reminders before each charge. Failed-payment retry and dunning are built in.
What's your stance on collections?
We don't operate a collections agency. We do produce 60/90/120-day aging buckets and one-click hand-off to a third-party agency of your choice.
Tighten your front desk without replacing your EHR.
We connect your EHR, set up patient billing, and configure HIPAA-aware reminders — usually within a week.
